Rollers for bakeries and bakehouses - reliable at high temperatures and in freezers
In large bakeries, castors are needed that can be used in extreme temperature ranges. The dough pieces are often brought from the cooling areas directly into the oven on the same transport or embroidery trolleys. Therefore, bakery castors are designed for extreme temperature variations from minus degrees to high plus degrees. The castors for bakeries have permanently good running properties from -40 °C into the tempering and baking ovens. There they not only withstand temperatures of 250 to 350 °C and more, but also achieve good rolling performance.
The wheels with either hard or soft treads are made of special compounds which, in addition to heat resistance, also meet the cleaning requirements of the bakery industry. With housings made of stainless steel, the bakery castors satisfy the most diverse hygiene concepts.
Here you can get the results for complete bakery castors. Individual spare wheels in many designs and materials can be found here.

Bakery castors are so versatile
The castors for use in large bakeries are manufactured in a wide variety of designs. They are available with hard and soft running surfaces as single castors and can be used in temperature ranges from - 40 °C to + 350 °C, depending on the design, even up to 400 °C for short periods.
Bakery castors are available as fixed castors, swivel castors and swivel castors with total brakes or as individual bakery wheels. The housings or forks are made of stainless steel or galvanised chromated sheet steel, with a double-row ball ring in the fork head and are used depending on hygiene requirements.
Heat and cold resistant materials for castors in the bakery
Bakery castors can be fitted with a wide variety of wheel types, depending on the application requirements for bakery castors. The wheel bodies and treads can be made of phenolic resin, thermoplastic compound, cast iron or cast polyamide. Alternatively, wheel bodies made of plastic or aluminium with a rubber tread are used in baking and tempering ovens.
The load capacity of bakery castors with plain bearings or ball bearings ranges from 80 - 150 kg per castor. Important for the selection: At maximum heating, the load capacity of the castors for bakeries is reduced by about one third.
